Focus and make it count
Our policies
Draft: highlighted wording is still to be confirmed by Tally Up before this page goes live.
These policies apply to Tally Up Seniors (Grades 8–12) and Tally Up Junior (Grades 4–7).
1. Fees and payments
- Fees are due by the 7th of every month.
- Please email proof of payment to admin@tallyup.co.za with the learner’s name and grade as the reference.
- Late payments may affect the learner’s place in their group / incur a late fee charged at 3%. Please contact us early if you are struggling to pay, and we will talk it through.
- Fees are reviewed once a year. Any increase will be communicated to parents in writing before it takes effect.
- Fees are not refunded for sessions missed by the learner unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Attendance and cancellations
- Learners are expected to arrive on time and attend every scheduled session.
- Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice if your child cannot attend.
- Missed sessions may be made up in another group where space allows / are not made up unless Tally Up cancels.
- If Tally Up cancels a session, we will arrange a make-up session.
- Learners who are regularly absent or late will be discussed with their parents.
3. Exams and Power Sessions
- Exam-period schedules may change per group timetable. Parents will be informed of any changes.
- Matric Power Sessions are all-night revision sessions (6pm–6am), arranged by the tutors towards prelims and final exams. Learners must bring their own food, snacks and drinks.
- Learners must bring their pens, books and past papers. Our methods are pen-and-paper and CAPS-aligned.
- Power Session attendance is recorded on a register. Learners must be collected by / may only leave with a parent or guardian’s permission.
4. Learner conduct
- Learners are expected to be respectful to tutors, staff and other learners.
- Cellphones must be switched off / kept away during lessons unless the tutor says otherwise.
- Learners are expected to complete their homework and practice work. Real progress happens between sessions, not only during them.
